The protesters blocked Railway Road near Chandni Chowk and burnt tyres. They were chanting slogans against President Asif Ali Zardari. The protesters said that Punjab was being victimised in terms of loadshedding. They said that water supply also remained suspended during the power loadshedding. Students said that the loadshedding was affecting their preparations for matriculation examinations. Meanwhile, Powerloom Owners Association president Maqsood Sabir Ansari and Powerloom Workers Association president Ch Ashraf Gujjar held a meeting with the DCO office and warned that the situation could be worsened if the loadshedding was not ended.
